Friend

Nigel has passed on. I wrote about it on my ~fletk blog. This has been quite a week for the Randoms.

I find myself paying extra special attention to our remaining felines, Phoebe and Daphne. They don’t mind. Also, there’s this new kitty hanging around, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she moved completely in at some point in the next few weeks. We call her Friend, and she is friendly and calm but very curious and acrobatic and playful too. Another unique kitty wooing us, as we woo her. We have some qualms that she could possibly be somebody else’s kitty, and she’s just deciding to leave them and join us, but frankly she spends so much time around our yard, even when we’re not here, it seems, that I really don’t believe that we’re sheltering a runaway. I think she’s a legitimate “stray” who’s been finding food and places to sleep where she can. She’s totally welcome to join our crew if she wants. All of our cats for the past 20 years have been “walk-ins” so to speak. All amazing and wonderful cats.
